**** Its been 2 months since my last weekly blog post. I last posted mid September on my RRR100 race report. The combination of getting sick after RRR100 for about 2 weeks, having some down time from running, busy at work, and having nothing really to "RECAP" on....I decided to take a break from weekly posts. However I did jot down any workouts the old fashioned way....pen and pad! And so I will quickly summarize the past 2 months of whatever running I did, in this post.
After getting sick for 2 weeks I decided to take some time off and basically ran whenever and for however long I felt like going, as opposed to having any planned training runs like I do the rest of the year. The majority of the runs are short (30-40 minutes...sometimes shorter) and I have only gone over an hour of running a handful of times. Since this is my "off-season" some downtime this time of year feels pretty good for a change. However, starting the end of November / beginning of December I plan to start getting back into a daily/weekly routine of easy runs, long runs, hill repeats, treadmill climbs and some track stuff on occasion during the winter season. I will also start getting back into weekly "RECAP" posts at that time. In the meantime, the following is a short RECAP of the last 2 months or so of running. ****

After getting sick for about 2 weeks after RR100 I took the transition back into running SUPER easy. 2 weeks of flu, sinus infection, cough, muscle aches....was all I could handle and the thought of getting sick again from not being fully recovered was not going to be an option -- that I made sure of!
The rest of the time I spent running fairly easy here and there (mostly at Pineridge and on the Foothills Trail....with the occasional run up at Horsetooth Mtn or valley trails).
This will probably be the last time I take this much time away from updating my blog. And starting this upcoming week I plan to get back into posting on a weekly basis again.
Looking forward to getting in some solid base training workouts this winter season.
